Become a local landscape detective. Uncover the story behind the view, as we walk from Twerton Roundhill towards Englishcombe.

Get fresh eyes by getting onto your feet. Find out how life in the past and present has shaped the landscape you see around Englishcombe, and hear the tales it has to tell.

We’ll turn the view you see from Twerton Roundhill into a living, breathing landscape experience. You’ll be able to touch, hear, smell and see it more clearly, as well as feeling it in your muscles, as we wander the ups and downs.

Take a morning out with two landscape enthusiasts on this walk of discovery. Don’t worry, we aren’t very fit so we’ll take the steep parts at a gentle pace.

Meet at the top of Twerton Roundhill and we’ll start our landscape detective work to discover what the view really means.

Wear stout footwear and bring water / snacks. We finish our walk at Hillier’s Garden Centre entrance just across the main road from Twerton Roundhill. Visit the cafe if you’re gasping for a drink, or head on home.
