This will be the fourth year in which the Walking Festival has featured a walk from or to the Workhouse Burial Ground; this year the walk offers a journey through the tangles of time and social justice exploring the wider Workhouse site.
From old maps and records, present day road signs and the experience of walking and sensing we invite walkers to pull threads and unravel layers. Join us in finding the ghosts present in place names and buildings, the spectres inhabiting the land on which we walk. A bit of psychogeography, a sprinkle of hauntology; walking with an invitation to question and imagine.
The walk is now fully booked, but please let us know if you’re interested in an extra walk, starting at the Burial Ground at 12.30. If there’s enough interest, we’ll re-run it.
