An almost level classic walk around the Lansdown plateau with an extra treat.

This walk has wonderful views into all the valleys surrounding Lansdown and has only two small inclines. There is one stone slab stile and two wooden ones. There will be a small detour down to the Gothic Georgian mansion of Battlefields House (original site of John Wood’s Lilliput Castle).

The walk takes in views to the east across Charmy Down and Little Solsbury hill, then on to the Battlefields, then past Hanging Hill and Prospect Stile, with views across Bristol and beyond to Wales.
