Dorothy House Hospice Care & Bath Interfaith Group walking pilgrimage, open to people of all faiths and none. There will be opportunities along the way for moments of devotion/reflection, quiet contemplation, and appreciation of views and nature; finishing up inside Bath Abbey with an (optional) short thanksgiving service.

Starting from Lansdown Park & Ride we walk through the fields below Beckford’s Tower and then begin the descent into Bath.

Tucked into the hillside above Bath, St Mary’s Charlcombe is the oldest ecclesiastical building in Bath still in use today. In St Mary’s peaceful quiet garden you’ll find a holy well fed by a fresh-water spring. From Charlcombe, we walk downhill through meadows to Larkhall.

Crossing the river Avon at Grosvenor Bridge we join the canal towpath for a short level stretch to Sydney Gardens, where we will pause at the Peace Oak, planted over 100 years ago as part of celebrations marking the end of the First World War.

Finally we take Great Pulteney Street (a popular filming location for period dramas) into the city centre to Bath Abbey where you’re welcome to join in an optional short service marking the end of our pilgrimage.

Bath Interfaith Group and Dorothy House Hospice Care are also offering a longer, full day walking pilgrimage starting from Keynsham. Pilgrims from both groups will join together for the optional service in Bath Abbey.
