Starting at Freshford station, this three-mile circular walk explores woods, fields, the valley of the River Frome and Freshford village. En route, it passes the site of a Carthusian priory, ancient mills, World War Two pillboxes, a former brewery, old quarries and locations where scenes from The Titfield Thunderbolt were filmed over 60 years ago. The Frome valley is also noted for its wildlife, with kingfishers and dippers in evidence.  There may also be the chance to visit the Inn at Freshford before catching the train home.
