Volunteers from the Cleveland Pools project will be in Kensington Meadows to talk about the project and give you the chance to try out their latest self-guided walking tour.  Come and pick up a map and guide, walk the route and then give the team your feedback. They will be in the Meadows between 11am and 3pm.

You can download the route here – Cleveland Pools Longer Trail  or pick up a copy on the day.

There are other activities going on in the Meadows that day to celebrate the start of the Walking Festival. Find out more here.

Please note: the Pools are currently closed during the building work, so the self-led walk does not include access to the Pools.

If you have been on the walk – we’d love to hear your feedback.  Please fill in the survey, thank you.

Start / Finish

Kensington Meadows.
If you haven't visited the Meadows before, we'd advise you not to use google maps, as that takes you to a locked gate. You can access the Meadows via a footpath at the back of Morrison's car park on London Road or from the footpath at the end of Grovesnor Bridge Road.

Mostly pavements, tarmac or gravel including riverside path which could be muddy. Fairly level with a couple of easy climbs and three flights of steps

The route starts and finishes close to Morrisons with café and loos, the walk takes you around the city center so plentiful cafes, shops and loos

No leader, self-guided walk so collect a trail map from the Cleveland Pools stall in Kensington Meadows
