An elevated walk on the northern slopes of Bath.

The walks starts at the Church on the Way, Weston All Saints, Weston. The church is on the Cotswold Way and we will be following that pathway to enjoy the glorious views of the City. The walk is one way, 3 miles although it can be extended if you wish to walk back to the start in Weston.

We will stop off on the way to enjoy interpretations of the landscape through geology, geography, history and architecture. The walk follows a route into Bath through Lansdown Crescent making a leafy descent through the most glorious Georgian architecture in the world whilst enjoying fabulous views over Bath and to the south.

Start / Finish

The walk starts at Weston All Saints Church, Weston Village, BA1 4ER and ends at Bath Abbey.
There are buses locally or on street parking, but we'd encourage you to walk to the meeting point, if possible.


The walk is on established paths and pavements. Some paths might be slippery if it has been raining so wear good, sturdy, flat walking shoes.


There is an accessible toilet in Tesco opposite the start of the walk.


The walk is on rising ground for the first half with a gentle climb on leaving the church to gain the high ground on the northern slopes. There will be stops on this climb to enjoy the views and hear interpretations of what is before us.
