The route winds through the lesser-known Bathwick backwaters taking in Great Pulteney Street and the Kennet and Avon canal to reach the historic site of Cleveland Pools.  Download a copy of the walk here – Cleveland Pools Trail 2021

The Pools sit quietly on the banks of the River Avon in a secluded spot that once defined Georgian Bath as the destination for leisure and wellness. Today the site is relatively unknown (and notoriously tricky to find!) but with restoration work well underway on a brand new swimming facility for all to enjoy, it’s time to unlock one of Bath’s hidden gems.

The transformation of the historic Cleveland Pools into a modern outdoor swimming pool will be a momentous project for Bath and we hope you will join us for the journey.

Please note, the Pools are not open to the public whilst restoration is underway. Find out more about progress here.
