Bath Interfaith Group launched the 2017 walking festival with a walk from the University of Bath to Sydney Gardens, via the ancient Iron Age settlement on Bathampton Down and Bathampton Woods, following the source of the cold water spring down to the Kennet and Avon Canal.
The pilgrimage passed ancient burial sites and other monuments which existed all over Bathampton Down in pre-historic times. Taking time to appreciate the sacred aspect of this little understood landscape; and considered the important role which water plays in our local environment.
Bath Interfaith Group provides a forum for people of all faiths and none to meet together in fellowship, and to gain knowledge, understanding and respect for each other. Regular talks, visits and social gatherings are organised for members and anyone who wishes to join them.
More information about the Group can be found here and we look forward to welcoming them for a new walk in 2018.
