A circular walk showing off the ease with which you can move from city to countryside to the North of Bath.  We start at the lovely village of Upper Swainswick and walk into Bath, via Woolley, Charlcome and Perfect View, then back out along the Canal to Bathampton, Batheaston and Little Solsbury Hill.

Start / Finish

The Lay-By, on the slip road for Upper Swainswick from the A46 [Not the one actually on the A46] just after the start of the dual carriageway going South. Grid reference ST 762683

Terrain

The walk does involve some steep climbs which may be slippery if the ground is wet. There are some stiles.

Facilities

There are toilets in Bath and Batheaston. Shops for food only in Bath but please bring a picnic lunch.
It is more difficult to get here by public transport than our other walks. Many buses stop on the London Road and it's a 30 minute walk from there (Alice Park/Gloucester Road) to the meeting point.
