Somer Valley Walking Festival is now in its third year. Its aim is to encourage local people and visitors to explore the beauty of the area’s countryside and discover its rich heritage.
To kick of the Festival, on Friday 14th September at 7.30-8.30pm, Stephen Clewes of Bath and North East Somerset Council’s Heritage Team will deliver a talk on The Romans in the Somer Valley at Radstock Museum, Waterloo Road, Radstock, BA3 3EP. Admission £3.

Saturday 15th September
There is one longer walk on Saturday
Priston Music Festival from the entrance to the Bath Business Park near to the Circle Bath Hospital, Foxcote Avenue, Peasedown St John, BA2 8SQ
10am A 7.5 mile circular walk to Priston across fields and quiet country roads to enjoy live music for three hours at the Festival arriving back by 5.30pm. Walkers wishing to make their own way home should advise the leader.

Children: Under 18s must be accompanied by an adult on all the walks.
Dogs: Well behaved dogs, on a short lead, are welcome unless otherwise specified.
What should I wear/bring? For all the walks, appropriate footwear should be worn. For the longer walks, walking boots are recommended. Please dress for changes in the weather with layers, waterproofs, hat and sunscreen. Please bring any food or drink you may need. If you would like to bring your own OS map, you will need Explorer 142.
Accessibility: Please note that the walks are on uneven ground and are therefore unlikely to be suitable for pushchairs or wheelchairs.
