The Mindfulness Walk in Sydney Gardens is an introduction to mindfulness and to how we can use our undivided attention to increase the value and enjoyment of the simple experience of walking, looking and being.

There will be a brief introduction to those new to mindfulness, and printed handouts to support the understanding of the basics of how and what mindfulness is.

The most part of the hour will be on the practical ‘doing’ of the mindfulness walk, a part of which will be in ‘gentle silence’.

Huw Griffiths Lic Ac is an experienced meditation teacher and delivers Mindfulness Based Stress Reduction (MBSR) to individuals, groups, schools and organisations in the UK.

This event is part of the Sydney Gardens Parks for People Project.   This project is running a specially designed programme of events and activities from September 2017 to May 2018 to test out what park users, residents and communities would like to see happening in the park in the future. As part of this activity, they will be inviting your feedback.
