A  walk through the beautiful valleys of Combe Hay and Midford taking in two dis-used railway lines and the  Somersetshire Coal Canal.

We will be walking down into the valley from Odd Down Park & Ride, along the valley and then climb back up to the plateau, enjoying the stunning scenery.

This walk is of particular interest to those interested in the industrial heritage of the area, although of course it is no longer industrialised but rather a very beautiful area of hills and valleys.

The walk involves some uphill. There will be some paths through fields and some muddy stretches, so suitable foot-wear will be needed. Kissing gates are the norm but there is the occasional stile.

Toilets are available in the Park & Ride at the start and end of the walk. You can access the start/finish by car or by the Park & Ride bus from the city centre.
