If ever you have wanted to do the Bath Skyline Walk but were concerned about the length of the route and the hills, this walk may be for you, together with Part 2. This Part 1 is from University of Bath to Smallcombe Vale but the important thing is, it is all flat or downhill! This walk starts near the Bath Cats and Dogs Home, next to the University and takes in stunning countryside including Bushey Norwood, Bathampton Woods/Down, Sham Castle, Bathwick Fields before finishing at Smallcombe Vale. There is a lot to see on the walk including some stunning view over Bath.

Terrain

All flat or downhill and includes some very uneven ground and trip hazards within Bathampton Woods.

Facilities

Loos at start and finish, but none en route.

Notes

Some of the route through Bathampton Woods is very uneven and this half mile section will be undertaken with great care.
