August 31st to September 2nd 2018 – save the dates!

This year there will be 14 walks, a number of them on a geology theme around the local limestone and how it has helped shaped the landscape, including the canal and local architecture.

Each day there will be one long walk each of around 14 miles and two half day walks of around 6-8 miles.  There will be the usual bird spotting and bat discovery walks, a walk with a cream tea at Stowford farm, wild food foraging and a supper walk.

The organisers are just in the process of finalising the walks which will be available on the website in May.

The charity the Festival will be supporting this year is ILC – Independent Living Centre who offer impartial advice to elderly and disabled people, providing practical solutions for independent living.
